Seven Social Care are looking for a Housing Support Worker in Gateshead currently. This contract is initially required for 4 months and likely to be extended upon this.

The role:
Successful applicants will be deployed in the Community Hubs which are providing help and support to Gateshead residents affecting by the Covid-19 pandemic, applicants will be required to work closely with community partners, problem solve and think creatively to ensure residents receive the help required.

Key Responsibilities:

- To provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable residents, assisting with issues around finances, health, housing, life skills, personal safety, legal issues, substance misuse, children, employment, training and education
- To use effective risk assessment tools to identify risks and undertake appropriate actions.
- To undertake practical support with young people to reduce the risk of homelessness and promote sustainable independent living.
Applicant Requirements:

- Qualifications: N/A
- Experience: 2+ years working in a similar role.
- Compliance: Up to date DBS.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
