**MPS1 - UPS3
Help shape the future of education in Middlesbrough at Outwood Academy Normanby. Help us support one of the most deserving communities in the region.

We know that the key to great outcomes at GCSE and beyond lies in setting firm foundations in Key Stage 3. Pupils have had a turbulent few years in education and their experience of learning through these times will be varied depending on where they live and which school they attended. We want to ensure that the knowledge gaps between those who have and those who have not had the best provision do not widen any further. We hope that you are the right person to join us on that journey.

We are looking for a teacher to focus their attention on the students in Key Stage 3. We know the standards set in the Primary sector have advanced greatly over the last seven years and we want our students to benefit from these advances to continue that journey through into their secondary education.

We need your experience of transforming pupils’ lives through enabling them to achieve age related and beyond in a primary setting to help us further shape our transition, KS3 teaching and catch-up programme in Key Stage 3.

Needless to say, you will be an inspiring teacher with real vision and passion - and the drive and determination to make things happen for students who really deserve the best possible deal.

**NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TEACHING**

OGAT are proud to be a part of the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) hosting it’s North and East campus as Outwood Academy Redcar and Outwood Academy Adwick. The NIoT identifies best practice in education, in order to develop cutting-edge, evidence-based teacher training and professional development programmes. OGAT colleagues will benefit from the work of the institute, which draws on the expertise of some of the most outstanding school leaders in education today.

Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT) is an education charity and not-for-profit sponsor of primary, junior and secondary academies. We are a dynamic organisation, recognised nationally as one of the highest performing family of schools in the North of England, and we currently sponsor over 30 schools.

Our educational blueprint has been developed through leading and supporting schools over many years.

We have used this successful blueprint to sponsor academies and have a transformational effect on children’s life chances within very quick timescales.

We feel strongly that academies should enhance the education provision of the community they serve, in addition to driving up standards and playing a central role in regeneration. This is because we believe that improving the life chances of young people is essential to developing a strong local and national economy.

We are now comprised of over 30 schools who work together to ensure that all children, irrespective of their starting point, receive an excellent education. We pride ourselves on meeting the needs of children in our care, including the most vulnerable or challenging.
