The Fleet Department is responsible for the generation of non-core income for re-investment into patient care. The two main areas of success are NHS Fleet Solutions and NHS Home Electronics. Both businesses operate in the competitive salary sacrifice marketplace. An office-based team consisting of 50 members of staff have responsibility for the delivery of the service.
The Vehicle Valet will report directly to the Assistant Fleet Team Manager and is responsible for ensuring that the trust’s fleet of pool cars/vans are presented to the highest of standards.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Mobile valet vehicles to the highest possible standards, both interior and exterior.
- Provide cover/support for the Vehicle Detailer when necessary
- Use cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to enhance the appearance of vehicles.
- Carry out internal and external inspections of vehicles to identify deterioration and damage.
- Ensure health and safety procedures and all company polices are adhered to.
- Deliver and collect vehicles.
- Conduct full damage checks on vehicles and arrange for remedial work to be carried out i.e. tyre repairs, windscreen replacements
- Maintain the workspace i.e. clean own vehicle, clean tools and equipment.
- Manage inventory and reorder supplies.
- Complete all relevant paperwork.
- Any ad-hoc relevant duties as advised by team leader.

NHS Fleet Solutions have in excess of 200 public sector client organisations on a nationwide basis including Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. These 200+ organisations lease 35,000 cars from NHS Fleet Solutions which results in a turnover of £200m+.
