TheraParent Fostering is a small independent fostering agency. We are a **family owned and managed** fostering service with therapeutic parenting at the core of all that we do. We are an enthusiastic and passionate team who highly values the incredible work foster parents do, therefore we believe in offering high levels of support and nurture to our families.

Our office is based in Waterlooville, Hampshire and we mainly serve Hampshire, Dorset and surrounding areas. Our team is made of professionals with extensive experience in fostering alongside personal experience of fostering too. We have lived the role of the foster parent for many years, and we use this experience to enhance the way we work with foster parents, drawing on our experience both professionally and personally. As a new fostering agency, we are looking to recruit new foster parents who are able to offer homes to children and young people which are therapeutically informed. Our team all have therapeutic training, and we offer therapeutic coaching and support to all foster parents and the children they care for.

To support us in building our team of foster parents, we are looking to recruit an independent Form F Assessor who can produce high quality fostering assessments for presentation at our fostering panel.

The successful applicant will be willing to complete assessments within Hampshire and Dorset, as and when needed and will be an experienced assessor. The successful applicant will hold a relevant **Social Work Qualification** and will be **registered with Social Work England.**

Duties include:

- To undertake competence-based Form F assessments of prospective foster parents
- To complete referee visits and interviews as required
- To work in accordance with the policies and procedures of TheraParent Fostering
- To provide regular updates on the progress of the assessment to the Quality Assurance manager
- To ensure accurate details of all checks and references are maintained and to follow these up as necessary
- To attend fostering panel with the applicants
- To work in line with our equality, diversity and inclusion policy
- To seek support from the agency where needed in the completion of the report
- To send assessment materials to the Quality Assurance Manager for review prior to submission to panel
- To attend mid-way review meetings

The successful applicant will be willing to complete a mandatory induction and will be a confident communicator and listener. All Independent Form F Assessors will work on a self-employed basis.

We are looking for people who work can well with our close-knit team, maintaining frequent contact and working to agreed timescales. Anyone joining us will be joining a team that is kind, considerate, child focused and passionate.

Pay: £2000 per completed assessment (plus 45p per mile mileage)
