**PE Teacher / Teacher of PE required in Lewisham**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Deliver engaging PE lessons.
- Successfully manage the behaviour of the class following the school’s behaviour policy.
- Foster positive relationships with students by being a role model and ensure students achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Department and the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of the school day and that students achieve the best outcomes.
- Act as an ambassador for Protocol Education by being punctual and professional at all times.
- Hold QTS / QTLS/ or equivalent with a Physical Education Specialism (Instructors and Unqualified teachers will be considered)
- Are confident at delivering PE lessons at all levels.
- Have a minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational setting, ideally teaching PE or as a sports coach.
- Are an excellent communicator and have a natural ability to work and build positive rapport with young people.
- Have good knowledge of child protection and safeguarding guidelines (an up-to-date DBS that is registered on the Update Service is desirable but not essential at this stage).
- Have the ability to work collaboratively as well as taking ownership of your own workload.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
