KITCHEN ASSISTANT

**Location**: Tops Pokesdown, Bournemouth, Dorset

**Pay rate**: Up to £11.45 per hour

**Contracted Hours**: 15 hours per week/Part time

**Shift Pattern**: Monday to Friday: 10.00-13.00

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Kitchen assistant’s help to produce high standards of meals and food following the company ethos, in line with seasonal availability, financial budgets and reducing carbon footprint/sustainable purchasing. Keen to work within a team and understand other people’s needs. Will follow all systems set by Tops including recipes, allergens, and label procedures and will assist in achieving food budgets.

In joining us, you’ll also become part of our extended family. You’ll work alongside other team members who are passionate about providing care, warmth and kindness to all those who work in our Nurseries.

Tops Pokesdown Nursery is a 135 place Day Nursery & Pre-School situated in Wolverton Road, Boscombe. The nursery run several extra-curricular activities including Tops Forest School, cooking school, Boogie Mites, yoga, meditation and much more We’re rated 9.1 by daynurseries.co.uk

ABOUT YOU

Some of the primary skills we are looking for will be someone will include;
Assist the Nursery Cook to provide enjoyable meals for children.

Work with the Nursery Cook to ensure food is purchased in good time and within budget.

Provide a safe environment within the kitchen.

Keep the kitchen clean and tidy (cupboards kept clean, fridge/freezer defrosted regularly, oven cleaned regularly)

Ensure meals are served appropriately and ready on time.

Involve yourself as a leading team member of food hygiene team, to ensure that all aspects of food hygiene law adhered to.

To be committed to the safeguarding of all children in the nursery.
