**The job** The Extrusion Operator will be a process associate who is responsible for achieving maximum efficiency of our Extrusion process whilst ensuring our highest Safety and Quality standards are maintained. The Extrusion operator will also play a pivotal role in identifying and delivering continuous improvement projects within the processing areas. **Extrusion Operator key responsibilities**: - As the Extruder Operator you will maintain excellent extruder efficiency in line with the set plan and escalate any deviation from standard or plan - Support peers in achieving highest Safety, Quality and Efficiency standards throughout the processing area - Be responsible for the achievement of GMP/GHP process score - Ensure cleaning regimes are upheld and fulfilled to the highest standard - Actively participate in Operational processes that support the improvement of our business performance - Ensure Critical Control Points and mandatory Quality checks are completed as required and deviations are escalated through FMOS using the appropriate channel - Identify and deliver continuous improvement ideas to support fulfilment of the site goals & strategy - The Extrusion Operator will comply with all Safety and Quality standards - The Extrusion Operator will be a flexible member of the team that does what is required to ensure maximum efficiency and output of the line whilst adhering to our Quality & Safety procedures - The Extrusion Operator will be required to have a broad understanding of the area operation and how it interfaces with different parts of the plant **Extrusion Operator skills and experience**: - Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) - Workable Written and Spoken English - Experience in an FMCG Manufacturing environment preferred but not essential - Experience from a similar role essential; you could have worked as a manufacturing operative; extrusion operative; machinery operative; factory operative etc. - Flexibility, Team Player and Great Communication Skills **WHY WORK FOR MARS?
