Experienced Senior Support Worker needed in Brecon
- Supporting children within their own home
- Enabling them to reach their full potential by accessing leisure and community opportunities
- Promoting social inclusion
- Enabling them to live fulfilling lives and gain new experiences
- Providing personal care, including manual handling tasks
To be considered you must have:
- Experience of previously working with children and young people
- An interest and understanding of the needs of the young people
- A fun and caring attitude
- DBS
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 Children and Young Adults
Responsibilities include:
- Arranging individual time with a young person to enable them to seek guidance, advice and support on any matter
- Monitoring the Individual Care Plan and the Risk Management Plan
- Monitoring that the young person's file is up to date
- Ensuring that the young person's health, cultural and religious needs are being met
- Ensuring that the young person's leisure and social needs are being met
- Undertaking specific therapeutic care tasks as directed by the Registered Manager/Clinical Lead
- Liaising with other staff/professionals in the company about the young person's wishes, feelings and needs
- Where directed, liaising with family members, professionals or significant others
**Job Type**:
Full time, permanent
**Salary**:
£24,500 - £29,000 per year
**Education**:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Residential Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
- Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care, Children and Young Adults (required)
