Looked After Children Social Worker

Working in the looked after children team a role which will include a mix of complex caseloads regarding children and young people in varying stages of care and in different types of care. You will be overlooking these cases and monitoring varied progressto determine the best course of action for an individual in care.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited too
- Assessing and identifying differing needs and wants of children in care
- To plan, implement and review different plans on varying caseloads within the framework
- To ensure equal service and opportunity provided to every individual within your caseloads
- To investigate complaints regarding mistreated, neglected and abused children and young people
- Implementing plans to get children to leave the care they currently occupy

Wrexham are currently looking for experienced social workers in the Looked After Children Team Wrexham. £100 per week accommodation allowance dependent on distance from Wrexham. Maximum of 15 cases - that is children not families. 2 week induction (willneed to be in the office for at least 3 days during this time) Thereafter 2/3 days per week to undertake visits in the area and to be on duty approx. 1 day in every 8+ working days.
