Regional Organised Crime Units (ROCUs) were set up as part of a national network to tackle serious and organised crime. They work with police forces across the country, the National Crime Agency (NCA) and other national law enforcement agencies to tackle serious and organised crime.

The South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) is one of nine ROCUs in the UK. SEROCU is a police unit responsible for delivering specialist and niche capabilities to Thames Valley Police, Hampshire Constabulary, Surrey Police, Sussex Police. We also support Kent’s prison estate

**Required knowledge/skills**
Essential
- PIP2 accredited and current in practice.
- Ability to create and present coherent and balanced evidence based business cases, to executive level (Chief Officer) partners to obtain decisions for investment in or the development of a business area.
- Competent in operationally leading serious crime intelligence development or investigations and performing high harm risk management in an operational policing context.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to create effective and equitable partnerships to support outcomes.
- Ability to create an inclusive working environment that fosters high ethical standards. - Able to travel throughout the South East region regularly and further afield occasionally.
- Willingness to undergo enhanced vetting checks (Developed Vetting required).

Desirable
- Previous experience as an Authorising Officer (AO).
- Previous experience of working actively with sensitive intelligence (specifically targeted intercept (TI/LI).
- Previous experience working with undercover policing operations.
- Previous experience of leading physical and technical surveillance.
- Project & change management experience or qualifications.
