Welding Section Leader

**A&P Tyne Welding Section Leader, 3 month fixed-term contract**

We're looking for a leader for this critical roles as part of our wider team, managing this heavily labour intensive project where on time delivery is critical.

**Who are A&P Tyne?**

Within our 24,000 square metre Fabrication Hall, where your projects will be based, we have a high bay construction hall where we build as well as use a panel line, profile cutting and we have sub-assembly area too. With the largest fabrication facilities on the East coast of England, putting it simply we build units for vessels and join them together.

We have in-house capability to maintain tight project control and work with our customers to deliver together what they need, as they need it, when they need it.

**So what will you do?**
- You'll supervise and manage either the operation with a focus on project delivery and resources working with your Team Leaders Project Manager, Project Engineers and other project team members
- Working within project requirements you'll also be ensuring compliance with Health Safety Environmental and Quality standards and legislation and will control stop / starts
- Working within budgetary and financial constraints you'll ensure project delivery against plans advising on the efficiency and productivity of planned vs actual hours with the Production Manager and Project Team

**And what are we looking for?**
- Supervisory experience of projects and teams
- A skilled tradesperson trained as a Welder with an understanding of heavy fabrication
- Competence in using Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel
- A Flexible approach to working hours
