Senior Sustainability Consultant/Certification Lead - Real Estate

A leading global real estate services firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Sustainability Consultant/Certification Lead to join their London-based team. As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, you will play a crucial role in driving sustainability initiatives, managing certifications, and providing expert advice to their clients, ensuring their buildings meet and exceed industry sustainability standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage sustainability consulting projects, providing expert guidance on sustainability strategies, certifications, and compliance, with a strong focus on BREEAM.
- Serve as a BREEAM Assessor, conducting assessments, managing the certification process, and ensuring compliance with BREEAM requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable design strategies that align with project goals and objectives.
- Conduct sustainability audits, performance benchmarking, and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement and implement effective sustainability solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to sustainability certifications such as LEED, WELL, and Fitwel.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of sustainability consultants, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Actively engage with clients, building strong relationships, and effectively communicate the benefits and value of sustainable practices.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Sustainability, Environmental Science, Architecture, or Engineering.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Sustainability Consultant, with a strong focus on BREEAM and BREEAM Assessor qualification.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in managing BREEAM certifications across various project types.
- Proficiency in using sustainability assessment tools and software, including IES or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks and certifications such as LEED, WELL, and Fitwel, with prior experience in any of these being highly beneficial.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
- Experience in managing and leading a team, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence clients and stakeholders.
- Passion for sustainability and a strong commitment to driving positive environmental and social change in the built environment.
