Overview:
Energy Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer to join their client's Aberdeen project delivery team on a 2-year contract basis.

The Buyer will act as Project Focal Point to complete the most complex project purchasing involving both engineered and non-engineered items.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plans and conducts and may supervise work of self and others.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration.
- Broad duties assigned at the beginning of projects.
- Work is assigned in terms of objectives, relative priorities, and critical areas that impinge on the work of other units.
- Work is reviewed to ensure policy conformity and soundness approach.
- Will regularly give job-related guidance to team members as a senior advisor.
- Responsible for reporting to the Supply Chain Manager for the Project.
- Strong ability to inform and persuade on complex matters through the preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations, and reports, as well as collaboration with stakeholders and management.
- Strong understanding of systems, processes, and tools related to the field.
- Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues.
- Supporting the Supply Chain Manager in meeting supply chain KPIs and initiatives.
- Ensure that RFQs are actioned in a timely manner.
- Update the procurement status report (PSR) in line with project ROS dates.
- Attend/Conduct PSR meetings with the Client and Internal Project Team.

Qualifications:

- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply) qualified or similar qualification.
- Understanding of Supply Chain functions and systems.
- Experience of Supply Chain.
- Supply agreements, negotiation, and implementation.
- Experience of using ERP Systems.
- Commercial Evaluations, negotiations, and terms and condition qualification.
- Supplier Relationship Management.
- Strong Team Player.
- Excellent communication skills, written, oral, and presentation.
