WONGDOODY Europe is seeking a Strategist for our London Studio. The strategist is essential in the early stages of an engagement (which may be pre or post sale) in which the outlines of what we are trying to achieve for the client may be opaque - although the business imperative is clear. The strategist will support more experienced strategists in assessing the situation through a number of lenses, identifying the clear area of opportunity and establishing the frameworks that will help guide us to the best outcome - not just in the early stages but throughout the project - to deliver successful human and business outcomes.
Our Digital Strategists work with a diverse, wide ranging team including business and data analysts, experience designers, other digital strategists and technologists across a range of geographies. It is the role of the strategists to make clients and team members feel both comfortable with and engaged in the entire design process, whilst also ensuring that strategic considerations are integral at each step of the initiative. Whilst the Strategists will have their own deliverables / responsibilities they will also work closely with the UX team to help define the product / service that will be created which will uphold the strategic imperative on co-owned deliverables.
The Strategist will work closely with the more senior strategists in the team - with more autonomy on smaller projects / pitches whilst also supporting larger strategy teams on larger more complex projects - sometimes with teams spread across geographies. Always feeling confident that they are part of a supportive whole.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
The Strategist at WONGDOODY Europe will be responsible for:
- Supporting a more senior strategist in collecting and analysing data **culminating in solid data backed insights which clearly frame an** opportunity/challenge into a concrete brief or value proposition - with linked KPI's which the wider team can start to ideate around. This could be for a pitch or a project
- Supporting a cross functional team through the process of ideating, prototyping and ultimately scaling a digital solution which meets the original business and end user consumer need. Acting as their guide to ensure they don't deviate from the initial strategic imperative that the strategist identified.
- Working closely with the UX team to express the strategy within the digital product / service - shared responsibilities include user research, facilitating workshops, creating personas and user journeys, ideation and testing.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**You Are**:
You bring to the organisation the following competencies:
- Strong academic performance
- Superb verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- A self-starting and collaborative attitude
- Hands-on research expertise, from ethnographic and other qualitative research methods to quantitative methods (surveys, focus groups, quantitative analysis)
- Experience distilling research into concrete areas of opportunity/hypothesis
- Experience facilitating workshops and activities for clients and colleagues in both large and small groups
- A passion for creating market-leading digital experiences
- Knowledge of presentation tools, such as Keynote and PowerPoint
- **Strong storytelling experience - in terms of slides and voice over creating engaging narratives and decks**:
- A sense of humor
Your experience includes:
- **4-5** years digital product and/or service strategy
- Supporting an experience design team to create an experience which will deliver against a digital product/service strategy
- Interpreting client briefings into a clear and concise brief linked to business and user benefits
- Gathering, synthesising and communicating clearly actionable data-led insight from audience, culture and category e.g. trends reports, personas and user journeys
- Identifying clear areas of strategic opportunity from data synthesis and presenting it in a compelling way
- Defining clear actionable objectives to guide the ideation/workshop process (KPIs, targets, data sources) and uphold them.
- Originating and supporting methods in which to test strategies/hypotheses with users
- Proactively looking for the next problem client problem to solve based on the current project
- Developing a deep understanding of one client and their landscape/strategy is a bonus
