**HEAD OF DATA- MAJOR RETAILER- EAST MIDLANDS- £140K BASE+ BONUSES+ COMPANY CAR**

A huge UK retailer are on the lookout for a Head of Data to build out their data and BI function from scratch. This business has grown massively over the past few years, and recently brought on a new CTO for this role to work alongside. They currently have no BI or data function in the business, and are looking for you to help the business with how they use data to improve sales and revenue across their UK base.

This is a role for a Head of Data who likes getting under the hood and initially being hands on, as you then build out a team with budgets in place for at least 5 hires this year.

**What they’re looking for in you**:

- Significant experience and a proven track record in leading and growing data functions from the ground up in SME, B2C or retail environments
- Expertise across BI, Data Science and Data engineering (This is a role where initially you’ll be covering a lot as you develop the businesses data architecture from scratch)
- Create the Data Strategy from tech tools/stack, teams, projects. This is a brilliant opportunity to put your own stamp on the business and showcase tangible revenue & profit increases based on your initiatives
- Stakeholder, leadership and management capabilities (You will be working very closely with the CEO and CTO of a multi-billion pound business, and they appreciate direct and honest approaches to the role)
- A methodical approach
- the business are wanting to do things right and are investing heavily in the growth of this function, and the long term ROI is of key importance.
