Wates Group are looking for a SHE Advisor to join our Residential team in London.

Wates Residential is a developer contractor; we invest, develop, build and sell quality affordable housing, either contracting or in a form of partnership with Local Authorities, Registered Providers and public bodies, such as Homes England.

Key Accountabilities will include:

- Provide appropriate: proactive preconstruction planning and on site coaching, advice and support to assigned projects, personally attending as agreed with the Head of SHE, working upfront with high risk supply chain partners to negate risk and effect fail to safe procedures where applicable.
- Coach project teams on risk identification and mitigation.
- Complete regular reviews of project RAMS and project plans ensuring they are timely and fit for purpose.
- Support local project teams in the preparation of bids and pre construction information, actively promoting risk awareness within the design and pre construction communities
- Attend project and regional senior meetings, and present along with detailed analysis of actual and potential incidents and learning.
- Provide coaching, advice and support regards behavioural soft skills - influencing, persuasion, negotiating, setting safe psychological working environments, and particularly facilitating collaboration between CDM 2015 stakeholders.

To be successful in the role you must have a team player attitude and approach: and all round SKATE competence - with excellent personal and technical skills, relevant industry knowledge, qualified appropriately through NEBOSH or similar, with relevant industry experience. You will be an excellent communicator with proven coaching skills and highly developed influencing skills.
