**Job Title: Cashier**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers and provide a friendly, welcoming experience
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and efficiently
- Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products and services
- Assist with bagging purchases and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Balance the cash register at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and security
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness
- Support other team members and perform additional duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Basic knowledge of cash register operation and electronic payment systems
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in retail or sales are a plus

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edinburgh: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
