Media Worker

With funding received from Awards for All this has enabled us to advertise for this new role within Rowlands to develop our social enterprise and makers space which includes Radio Rowlands our online radio station, Printasaurus which is our social enterprise and our newly formed animation group.

All of these groups already exist but require additional support and direction to take these forward, enabling young people to gain transferable skills as well as highlight Rowlands within our community.

We are looking for someone with a can do attitude who will have an innovative and out the box approach to developing these groups with young people at the forefront.

We are keen to meet someone with experience in all aspects radio, printing and animation/3D printing but we would also be interested to hear from others with relevant experience and to look at training as part of their personal development
- Working alongside young people on the development of our Makers space which includes our existing printing, radio and animation groups
- Development of exciting and innovative opportunities identified through local need, observation and conversations with young people
- Liaising and building positive working relations with our partner agencies e.g. primary and high schools, other youth work provision and local community groups
- Identifying developing, and managing the expansion of services to meet demand and need of our young people service users and to encourage and include young people to take the lead in these new ideas and opportunities where possible
- Ensuring the implementation of our Health and Safety and other relevant working policies to ensure a safe work environment for everyone
- Undertaking appropriate training opportunities as identified in negotiation with your line manager/the management committee.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
