An exciting opportunity has arisen to join GMMH Practice Education Facilitators team. This is a permanent position, for a band 7 established PEF or can be a developmental role as a band 6. These roles can be full or part time.

Part of the role is dedicated to supporting our learners on Nursing Apprenticeships students. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality learning environments within GMMH for all leaners and will be required to work locally within services where interprofessional learning opportunities can be promoted. The post holder will be required to support the breadth of the student experience, which will require cross boundary working with apprenticeship teams in GM HEIs.
- Assessing the quality of a range of practice learning environments, determining interventions to sustain and enhance practice education; ensuring all service areas/ placement providers have an up-to-date action plan in place, informing the annual quality monitoring of Learning and Development Agreements.
- Supporting and facilitating the development of clinical practice, educators, practice assessors and practice supervisors, providing supervision and support structures in order to build education in practice capability, consistency and efficiency in line with NMC and apprenticeship standards.
- Leading on the structuring and coordination of interprofessional learning activity across a service area(s).
- Participating in single Quality Assurance multiprofessional site visits across organisations.
- Developing, co-coordinating, evaluating and implementing education programmes with Higher Education partners. For example, contributing to curriculum development, validation and review through the Annual Quality Review of the Education Contracts.
- Provided ongoing support and guidance to educators, practice assessors and practice supervisors and learners in practice areas as per apprenticeship standards.

**Essential Criteria**:
**Qualification**:

- Professional qualification to a minimum of degree level or equivalent experience.
- Current professional Registration
- Master’s level 7 study relating to education in practice/coaching/education or working towards master’s level 7 or willingness to undertake this study or relevant level of practice in required field
- Practice assessor/ Practice educator

**Experience**:

- Broad range of clinical experience
- Experience of teaching, supervising and assessing pre-registration healthcare students in the practice setting
- Practical experience of facilitating change
- Staff management/staff supervision
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with people from a wide range of personal and professional backgrounds

**Knowledge**:

- Working knowledge of inter-professional learning theory
- In depth knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and framework
- Understanding of curriculum development
- Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Understanding of a range of regulatory body requirements.
- Ability to present to large groups of people
