ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operative duties
- Operate production machinery across departments, follow production plans, timely completion of work.
- Work with the production teams to achieve daily production goals across multiple departments
- To demonstrate good housekeeping practices
- Handling products and moving pieces throughout the production process.
- Have the ability to use Working Systems and Instructions, SOPs.
- Be happy to work flexibly to learn and provide cover on other machines within the area.

Continuous Improvement:

- Support roll out of continuous improvement initiatives across site and work closely with relevant departments to make improvements in line with business plan and company objectives.
- Identify ways to improve quality, production capability and reduce production costs.

Process Monitoring:

- Monitor and use manufacturing data to resolve issues, improve processes and track changes.
- Work with maintenance and engineering teams on TPM and fault diagnoses.

QMS: Work with production and quality systems team to develop and manage work instructions and process documents.

Maintenance/engineering Support:

- Assist maintenance team with breakdown, trouble-shooting and improvement activities on site.
- Reverse engineer components for machinery using inventor and 3d printer
- Assist engineering team with site projects

Health & Safety - Comply with site health and safety policy. Promote safe working and act as positive role model.

Company - Represent AW Hainsworth positively internally and externally.

Personnel development

Completion of college work units to deadlines.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Understanding of lean process or other continuous improvement methodology.
- Experience with setting up process monitoring systems.
- Methodical - excellent fault finding / troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of patience and diligence, able to work under pressure.

WORKING DAYS

37.5 hours Monday to Friday (flexible)

45 Months

Maths & English (9-4)
FUTURE PROSPECTS

To be discussed on completion of apprenticeship.
