You will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and techniques, and innovation is encouraged and supported. We have excellent links both with hospital-based clinical teams and with the University of East Anglia.

The post-holder will be expected to develop local clinical services, clinical guidelines, to undertake analytical quality leadership, method development, and to liaise with other clinical teams. The post-holder will participate in MDT and will contribute to quality management, teaching and training.

To provide in conjunction with fellow Consultant Immunologists, professional direction, and clinical lead for the clinical Immunology services as detailed below:
The key responsibility of the appointee will be to assist in the supervision and management of patients with primary and secondary immunodeficiencies.

To contribute to research in Clinical Immunology.

To support the development of the Immunology laboratory at NNUH and clinical validation of results.

The appointee will be expected to actively contribute to help the service gain and maintain standards needed to achieve clinical and laboratory accreditation as required.

Teaching and training of medical, technical and clinical scientific staff in Clinical Immunology.

To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning clinical governance and audit.

To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education.

Eastern Pathology Alliance (EPA) requires a full-time Consultant Clinical Immunologist for our Biochemistry and Immunology Department to join our dynamic team of another part-time Immunologist, two Chemical Pathologists, two Clinical Biochemistry consultants, two Principal Biochemists, and one senior biochemist.

**Clinical governance**: demonstrates awareness of good decision making. Awareness of own limitations. Track record of engaging in clinical governance: reporting errors, learning from errors.

**Audit**: demonstrable experience of leading audit.

**Teaching**: experience of supervising undergraduates, junior doctors and other staff; ability to teach clinical skills
