From large-scale town-centre regeneration to rural exception sites, from joint-ventures with major housebuilders to securing land and building our own self-designed house-types that redefine sector standardsfor space, light, and adaptability.

We have an opening for an **Assistant Director of Development Delivery** to join us at this exciting time.

**The role
**Key deliverables include**:

- Inputting into regional growth strategy and direction based upon knowledge and research of operating area
- Leading a team to ensure a programme of development projects are delivered on time, to budget, ensuring quality and safety in line with Sovereigns Homes and place ambition
- Preparing reports detailing progress on development opportunities
- Scrutinising and approving new business opportunities in line with ambitions of Investment Strategy
- Developing external relationships that assist in the delivery of development opportunities at senior level with organisations such as: Developers & their technical teams; Local authorities Contractors; Planning Authorities.
- Selecting the appropriate appointment of; Architects; Surveyors; Planning consultants; Contractors; Engineers and other professional consultancies
- Ensuring schemes are delivered to budget maintaining viabilities for affordable, open market and commercial property

**What we're looking for:
- A track record of taking major projects through delivery to completion; creating and managing teams to evolve the project and deliver the project to satisfactory conclusion.
- A demonstrable record of partnership working, influencing and persuading.
- Experience of using learning from a range of roles within the housing or related sector.
- A track record of delivering mixed use, developments.
- An understanding of the commercial markets.
- A comprehensive understanding of commercial practices relevant to delivering new developments.
- Financially literate, with the ability to interpret development funding models
- Track record of political and policy engagement and can horizon-scan.
- Housing sector knowledge and insight or can demonstrate transferability from another related sector
