**The Role**

We are currently seeking friendly and enthusiastic Guest Services Assistants to join our team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring they have a memorable and enjoyable experience at the zoo. The Guest Services Assistants are the face of Peak Wildlife Park, and their primary focus is to create a positive guest experience while promoting the zoo's mission and values. This multi-faceted role requires a versatile, energetic, and service-oriented individual who can seamlessly transition between various duties across the park.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing information about the zoo's facilities, attractions, and daily activities.
- Operate ticketing and entry systems, accurately processing admissions, memberships, and group bookings.
- Provide assistance to guests with special needs or accessibility requirements.
- Handle visitor enquiries, providing accurate information and direction as needed.
- Direct vehicles in the car park to ensure a smooth flow of traffic, assist with parking, and provide information to visitors upon arrival. Monitor car park areas for safety and cleanliness.
- Assist in the operation of the zoo's retail and food service outlets, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient transactions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the guest services area, ensuring all signage, literature, and promotional materials are up-to-date and well-stocked.
- Ensure the park grounds and facilities are clean and well-maintained, including litter picking, and cleaning public areas.
- Act as an ambassador for the zoo, promoting its conservation efforts, educational programs, and upcoming events.
- Assist with the implementation of special events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
- Adhere to all zoo policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of both guests and animals.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a leisure, tourism, or retail setting.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic computer skills, with experience in operating point-of-sale systems preferred.
- Cash handling experience is an asset.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as required.
- A strong interest in wildlife conservation and education.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £6.40-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
