**Job Title: Youth Engagement and Insight Lead**
**Working Hours**: Full Time or Part Time (flexibility on hours could be considered)
**Contract Type**: Fixed Term Contract - 12 Months (with a view to potentially offering a permanent role at the end of FTC Contract)
**Location**: Hybrid Working role - office based in Hatfield, will include countywide travel - A full driving licence and use of own car or motorbike for business purposes is essential to role

**Role Specific Duties**:

- Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of youth engagement and youth insight projects.
- Ensure youth engagement and insight is fed into all levels of the organisation to ensure decision making is youth informed where appropriate.
- Co-produce and improve service monitoring tools with young people.
- Develop new and innovative ways of involving hyh services users in shaping our services, flexibly to meet their needs.
- Ensure good 'youth voice’ communication across all hyh services, providing updates at service team meetings.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with external organisations and professionals.
- To line manage future engagement staff (if funding secured) and volunteers as required.
- Co-ordinate young people’s involvement in staff recruitment, training and induction
**General Expectations**:

- To be ambassador for the charity both internally & externally to further hyh aims whilst protecting and enhancing its reputation
- To promote and facilitate Service Users participation across services.
- Travel as required, for the successful delivery of your duties.
- To undertake any other reasonable duty as my reasonability be determined.
- Support and work alongside volunteers / students.
- Working in line with the General Data Protection Regulations.
- Experience of youth engagement and insight
- Experience of community engagement approaches or youth advocacy
- Experience in youth work or facilitating community groups
- Excellent understanding of confidentially with strict professional boundaries and personal integrity
- Commitment to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice
- An understanding of the voluntary sector and the constraints placed upon voluntary sector organisations
- An understanding of reflective practice and continued professional development
- A fair, objective, and non-judgemental attitude
- Ability to maintain positive working relations with different levels of professionals from a range of different organisations
- Trauma informed expertise
- Willingness to work flexibly where required
- A full driving licence and use of own car or motorbike for business purposes (Essential)
