**Production Engineer (Contract Packaging Manufacturing)**

Due to rapid expansion and the impending implementation of a new ERP system our client, Flint based, are looking for a Production Engineer to join the team. To be successful in this role it would be ideal if you have an electrically biased qualification aswell as your 18th edition as well as having worked within either FMCG, Pharmaceuticals or Chemicals manufacturing.

Your new role as our Production engineer will be to install & maintain all equipment within the premises, to ensure safe & efficient operations and to perform & oversee all building maintenance.

YOUR KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure that all equipment is safe for use & is being used safely.

To ensure that all necessary equipment is available & correctly set up at the start of each run.

To maintain plant, equipment & buildings to ensure optimum economic performance

To maintain accurate records of all aspects of the engineering function to meet legal & customer requirements

To develop in collaboration with Production dept, work aids, jigs etc to enable increased production.

To purchase all engineering supplies at optimum prices

On completion of any work to ensure that all equipment & surfaces are thoroughly cleaned & left ready for the next line set-up.

To advise on sourcing & purchase of new plant & equipment.

Conduct a weekly test of fire alarm system

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Educated to minimum GCSE standard or equivalent in English and Maths, Science
Time served engineering apprenticeship (NVQ or above)
C&G 18th Edition Electrical
C&G PAT testing certificate
Computer Literate
Knowledge of process/manufacture/packaging equipment for consumer goods

Contractual Benefits
- Mon - Thur 8am - 5.15pm Fri 8am - 1pm
- Salary £35,000 - £38,000 DOE
- Gov Pension
