**About the role**:
To maintain, repair, and optimize the performance of a fleet of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) spark ignition biogas engines located across various Thames Water sites.
**Duties will include**:

- To carry out the planned and unplanned maintenance of the fleet ofSpark Ignition gas engines. will range from routine servicing to complete engine rebuilds.
- Work with engine support staff and suppliers to ensure all maintenance is carried out safely, with the least possible downtime, and within budget
- Completion of service records and reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Demonstrating a zero-compromise attitude towards health, safety, and wellbeing in all aspects of work
- Ensuring excellent customer service at all times

**To be successful you will have the following skills and experience**:

- ONC, C&G, or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering
- Plus at least 2 years ‘hands-on’ experience working with internal combustion engines, associated plant and control systems
- Gas engine and gas system experience desirable but not essential
- Good communication and interpersonal skills required
- **Full UK driving license**

**We are also looking for the following competencies**:

- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of operation and maintenance of internal combustion engines.
- Ability to carry out thorough, comprehensive, and methodical diagnostics on engine, generator, and associated systems
- Competent to work to a high level of quality, alone or as part of a team
- Basic computer literacy
