Summary of the Estimator role:
My client is currently looking for an Estimator to join their growing team, located in Leeds in a permanent capacity. You will be working for one of the UK's leading Engineering specialists who provide the highest level of quality and innovation within theCivils industry.

Responsibilities for the Estimator:

- Responsible for the effective management of all their allocated estimates from initial enquiry through negotiations to submission of final offer, including determination of the appropriate structure of the estimate.
- Large schemes require close liaison with the Bid Manager, Project Manager and Project Team. The Estimator, however, remains responsible for managing the pricing process; evaluating, assessing and co-ordinating inputs from all other costing disciplines,ensuring high levels of consistency and quality.
- Involvement in subsequent negotiations with the client encompassing financial and commercial considerations.
- Analysing current and historical data to justify costs and pricing accuracy and competitiveness.
- Creation of reports for presentation to Executive and Director Level reviews.

Requirements for the Estimator:

- Degree qualified in a commercial discipline OR equivalent experience
- Good command and communication of oral and written English
- Good people/management/organisational skills
- Demonstrable power (UKPN) and civil engineering experience
- IT proficient, particularly in MS Office Excel
- Advanced understanding of Estimating core processes and procedures
- Previous experience in a discipline estimating role is preferred
- Demonstrated technical and practical understanding of engineering, procurement and construction methods and techniques.
