Data Engineering Consultant
A growing Microsoft partnered data consultancy are currently looking for a Data Engineering Consultant to help aid their clients in their movement into cloud-based contemporary BI data infrastructure. The Data Engineering Consultant will specifically supportBI programmes and projects in design and implementation of the business's Azure-based Data & Analytics platform, in addition to documenting design and infrastructure guides for each project worked on.
The Data Engineering Consultant will also be involved directly with clients, on client site running data and infrastructure workshops and be responsible for agreeing and gaining sign off with the customer for the platform being implemented. While deliveringimplementations Data Engineers will support others in the Data Engineering function, Business Applications function and in the Analytics Function, providing guidance and expertise.
The Data Engineering Consultant must have the following skillset:
- A minimum of 3 years in a Data Engineering / BI Developer role
- Extensive experience in Data Warehouse development (Kimball)
- Experience working with the Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
- Expert knowledge of SQL server
- Excellent communication skills
The role offers a salary of up to £65,000 in addition to the ability work fully remote. Occasional travel is needed to client sites, however this is likely to only be once a month.
