London, United Kingdom People Management Partners Full time

Job Advert

**Job purpose**:
We’re not your typical HR consultancy. We work closely with small, founder-led businesses across London and the surrounding counties, offering hands-on, commercially-minded HR support. Our clients see us as part of their team, as we roll up our sleeves to deliver impact - not just advice.

We’re looking for a Senior People Partner to join us on a 3-month fixed term contract to start, with the potential to extend or become a permanent role. You’ll be joining a collaborative, experienced team and will play a key role in supporting clients with everything from day-to-day queries to complex change programmes.

This role is ideal for a seasoned HR Business Partner or Head of HR who is confident across the full employee lifecycle and has experience managing challenging stakeholders and delivering change.

We also work with freelance HR Consultants, so if you're looking for contract work instead, see our contractor advert for details.

**Key responsibilities**:
Client delivery
- Partnering with founders, directors and managers to deliver practical people plans
- Identifies and lead on strategic people initiatives that align with our client’s business goals
- Advising on all elements of the employee lifecycle, including ER, reward, performance, L&D and engagement
- Leading on complex people issues, including disciplinary, grievance, restructuring, TUPE and change
- Coordinating our internal team resources to support the delivery of BAU HR requirements such as recruitment, onboarding and probation processes
- Implementing and improving people systems, documents and workflows
- Coaching managers and supporting culture development
- Designing and delivering HR training where needed

Client relationship management
- Acting as the Account Lead for a group of retained clients
- Carrying out regular service reviews to check we’re delivering what we promised
- Spotting opportunities for new projects and additional support
- Responding to inbound new business enquiries when required

Internal contribution
- Contributing to PMP’s service development and internal projects
- Helping to continuously improve the way we work as a team

**What we're looking for**:

- A strong background in senior HR roles, ideally including experience in standalone or multi-site positions
- Confidence managing complex employee relations issues
- A commercial mindset - you get how HR adds value, not just compliance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Previous consulting experience is a bonus but not essential
- CIPD Level 7 (or working towards this level)

**Working hours & flexibility**:
This is a part-time role (3 days per week) with potential to increase.

We describe this role as “roaming”. That means that you will work from home, client sites and the PMP office. While you won’t be travelling all of the time, it is a feature of the role so you must be willing to travel to client sites in London and the surrounding counties, and our Sevenoaks HQ when needed.

We work flexibly - recognising that client needs can ebb and flow. That means you might occasionally need to flex up during a busy spell, and you'll have the space to flex down when things are quieter. You’ll manage your own diary around client priorities and PMP deadlines.

**Other details**:
Contract: 3-month fixed term with potential to extend or become permanent

Office base: Sevenoaks (occasional travel required)
