Cleaner/caretaker

**Company Overview**

This is not a temporary or a holiday job. We are looking for a permanent member of staff to be part of a job share (between 5-7 hours per week at EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS).

HD3 Fitness Centre is a small, friendly, welcoming gym and fitness studio located in northwest Huddersfield (near M62), serving the communities of Salendine Nook, Lindley, Mount, Outlane, and surrounding areas. Our community atmosphere and commitment to inclusivity make us a standout choice for fitness training.

**Summary**

We are seeking a reliable, dedicated and hard working Cleaner/Caretaker to join our team at HD3 Fitness Centre. You MUST live locally. You MUST be physically fit and able to work hard and efficiently. This role is essential for maintaining a clean, tidy and safe environment for our members and staff, ensuring that our facilities are always welcoming. It also involves security of the building, locking up the premises at the end of shifts, and on occasional days, opening up the gym ready for members to attend. Your contributions will help us uphold our reputation as a friendly and healthy fitness community.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform daily routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the gym is clean, safe, and welcoming for all members.
- Monitor the condition of facilities and report any maintenance issues to management promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas including workout spaces, toilets, showers & changing rooms, store rooms, and common areas (stairs, reception etc).
- Ensure that cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use.
- Assist with setting up equipment for classes or events as needed.
- Tidy the fitness areas at the end of the shifts.
- Provide excellent customer service by being approachable and responsive to member inquiries.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in commercial cleaning or facility maintenance is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness.
- Confidence to work alone, independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills to interact with staff and members.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour
