Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced, passionate and patient Maths and English Tutor, who holds QTS. Within this role, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons as a means of alternate education. One of your aims will be to support and re-engage a pupil in their learning, offer structure back into their daily routine, continue their educational development and aid their return to school. Patience is a key attribute as young people may have a prolonged period out of education or may have Social Emotional and Mental Health needs.
The tuition is replacing school for these young people and is usually 6 hours per week for each student, taking place during school hours. Prospero will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports & daily attendance.
**Information about the role**:
Ongoing placement, or until the young person returns to school
Timetable dependent on the young persons needs
GBP30 per hour
Full time or part time hours available
Experience tutoring Maths and English on a 1:1 or small group basis
Qualified Teacher Status
Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
Have experience working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils
**What we need from you**:
Hold a right to work in the UK
Provide references to cover the last two years of employment
The ability to commit to the young person and work for the duration of the placement
