**About Us**

***About the role**

As Strategic Sourcing Lead, you will be responsible for International procurement and delivery of complex electro mechanical systems and equipment. You will take strategic ownership of the category to achieve business goals and objectives, whilst building relationships with suppliers to ensure delivery and long term cost reduction. Along with this, you would have direct reports to manage.

**Responsibilities include;**
- Commercial acumen and negotiation of contracts and price agreements.
- Ownership and Responsibility of Supplier Relationship Management for a key commodity stream within Ocado Technology
- Creating and establishing Global Sourcing strategy to meet demand forecasts to satisfy international future business needs
- Securing early procurement involvement and will function as the primary point of contact for Technology Development teams and Procurement
- Establishing contractual terms with suppliers are aligned with Ocado strategy, and ensure adherence
- Development, coordination and vendor management of first and second tier key suppliers
- Drive Supplier Performance and relevant KPIs against Quality, cost and delivery criteria
- Risk identification and mitigation, anticipating supply chain challenges
- Recommend and implement process improvements to improve Supply Chain robustness.
- Work with the relevant Product Teams, manage any obsolescence and excess due to NPI or change cut in activities to reduce the exposure to Ocado
- Establish from Product Managers the business case assumptions for cost and ROI and ensure that Procurement delivers within these cost parameters
- Share market intelligence (cost, lead time, supply chain issues etc) with Product Managers to help with their decision making and awareness on trends that may impact their products

***About you**

**We'd love to hear from you, if you have...**
- Demonstrated success in managing large contract manufacturers, contract negotiation and contractual compliance.
- Proven track record in effective supplier development and management
- Good track record of international component sourcing and supply chain scaling
- Experience of sourcing and procuring electro mechanical equipment in an Engineering environment.
Although based at our Hertfordshire head office, you will be expected to travel to sites both in the UK and abroad
- Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering company procurement strategies
- High level of computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Google Docs and ERP software

**It's not essential but it would be a bonus if you have...**
- Degree level education in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain or Engineering.
CIPS or equivalent qualification
- Masters Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or Supply Chain or related field to procurement functions
- Experience with NPI, prototyping and manufacturing industries
- Exposure to Make v Buy analysis
- Exposure to design to cost, design to manufacture principles
