Cragston Court in Blakelaw, Newcastle upon Tyne is a unit providing tailored rehabilitation and recovery for up to 20 men and women with complex and enduring mental health needs for adults over the age of 18 of mixed gender.
Cragston Court is equipped to deliver nursing and recovery support for people who are experiencing a wide range of severe mental health conditions
**Main Duties**:
To provides practical support and responsive care to service users who require support in their rehabilitation and recovery whilst ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and the relevant healthcare legislation.
Observes and monitors the wellbeing of service userss ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.
Provide specific interventions with service users as delegated by a Registered Nurse, and following training and competency attainment. Such interventions include Observation and Engagement with service users, escorting on appointments, and being involved in de-escalation and management of violence and aggression
Develops, coordinates and manage service users social activities both inside and outside the unit
Contribute to a team approach to service usersial care in conjunction with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
Participate in regular team meetings and attend other meetings as requested.
