**Job Details**:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Helpdesk Team leader to join our HPC team based in Bolney, UK.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead and manage the team, including performance reviews and quarterly appraisals.
- Develop and maintain internal knowledge bases.
- Monitor team performance, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity.
- Handle IT 1st line issues, prioritizing and escalating to 2nd/3rd line as needed.
- Communicate promptly with stakeholders.
- Prepare regular activity reports and ad hoc reports for major IT incidents.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction by capturing and resolving service requests and incidents.
- Manage user accounts and perform data-related tasks, such as daily backup checks and data transfers.
- Ensure uptime, performance, and resource availability for all IT systems.
- Monitor and improve the performance of wide area and local area networks
- Identify and resolve network issues.
- Upgrade network hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment.
- Manage IT data center operations to ensure data quality, accuracy, and security.

**Required Skills**:

- Knowledge of DC hardware
- Understanding of Network terminology
- Linux experience
- Desired: Zabbix (or equivalent) monitoring system.
- Desired: ITSM tool (e.g. Jira, ServiceNow)
