**Job Type**: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm
Are you a skilled and reliable individual with a passion for maintaining safe and comfortable environments? Join our team at Woodheath care home, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and the well-being of our residents.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the care home, including plumbing, electrical, and heating systems.
- Perform minor repairs and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of communal areas, outdoor spaces, and resident rooms.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with external contractors for larger repairs or installations.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities
**About You**:
- Proven experience in general maintenance, handyman roles, or a similar position.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- A friendly, approachable demeaner, with excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to handle occasional out-of-hours emergencies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., electrical safety, plumbing) are a plus but not essential.
- Knowledge of Legionella.
