**The Role**
We currently have an exciting opportunity to recruit an Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer (EC&I) into the Carbon area at our Clients' Port Talbot works.
As the frontline Engineer, you will be responsible for improving the efficiency and capability of the assets and must liaise with both members of the cross-functional team and contractors. In this capacity, you will support the overall day engineering function,providing a specialist EC&I resource.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
Ensure that plant equipment is maintained/calibrated to the correct standard within the prescribed frequency.
Perform necessary repairs; undertaking preventative maintenance activities and facilitating the promotion of engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure process availability, quality and productivity are optimised
Assist with the installation of small projects
Understand and at all times comply with company policy, where it effects your day to day activities.
Supervision/work with specialist contractors in certain tasks.
Be committed to self-development and learning, to maximise performance and provide succession resource for the business.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will require a minimum of a HNC (or be working towards) qualification in an instrumentation/electronics or related discipline. You will ideally be time served, with some experience of working within a manufacturingindustry (heavy preferred), in an instrumentation based role.
Equally important is a positive disposition, and the ability to work both as an individual and within a group environment, in a safety first manner.
