About the role
**This role is ideal for a strong administrator looking for an entry position into HR.**
We have a fantastic opportunity to join the HR Team in our Didcot Distribution Centre. The HR team are an integral part of the day to day running of our business. This role will be supporting the HR advisor with HR strategy and recruitment across the Didcot DC.
You will be responsible for
Working directly with the HR advisor and within the HR team, you will be responsible for providing a timely, accurate and effective service to HR Colleagues, encompassing the recruitment process. You will act as a point of contact for queries, ensuring a high level of service and support for the management team and colleagues. Within this role there will be the need for adhoc travel to and from other sites for regional HR meetings and site audits.
Providing administrative support to the HR advisor with reference to personnel file maintenance, new starter packs, contracts and offers, the recruitment process, probationary reviews, attendance monitoring, references, and PIP monitoring.
Ensuring that colleagues are fully aware of company benefits, policies, procedures and expectations
Ensuring Human Resources’ matters are handled fairly, consistently and confidentially in line with legal, and company requirements
Learn the site's payroll system to cover Clerks holidays and absences
Organising and coordinating on-boarding of new colleagues
Supporting with note taking for formal meetings when required
Filing, maintaining records and general organisation within the team
Supporting site audits when necessary
Constantly looking for ways to improve the way we work
Building relationships and working collaboratively with all teams and departments within the business to ensure we are providing the very best support to deliver business goals
Other ad-hoc responsibilities to support the HR team as well as other departments as required
You will need
To be successful in this role, your skills and qualifications will include:
- Experience of Recruitment or HR Administration (ideal, but not essential)
Payroll exposure (ideal, but not essential)
Organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise own workload without close supervision
Efficient and able to work at a fast pace with varied tasks
First class communication skills, both written and verbal
Presentation of an Induction slide show to all new colleagues on a weekly basis
A natural at communicating confidently across all levels in a clear and engaging way
Practically minded: able to roll sleeves up and get stuck in
Detail orientated, with a proactive approach to all aspects of work.
High standard of ethics, integrity and confidentiality
Team orientated

Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on new challenges
