SEN School situated in the borough of Bromley, is recruiting either a 1:1 Behaviour Mentor or SEN TA to support a Year 13 boy who has been diagnosed with SEMH, ASD and Complex Needs. This is a 5 day a week fixed term contract to start immediately.

The successful LSA / SEN TA will be resilient, pro-active, focused on safeguarding children & able to successfully de-escalate behavioural challenges as they arise. It is important that you have great SEN experience working with children with varied needs;ie Autism/ ASD/ SEMH/ Complex Needs/Learning Difficulties/ Behaviour Difficulties. In this position you will be supporting a year 13 boy on a 1:1 basis as he requires someone who is able to build a strong rapport and who is preferably Team Teach or Price trainedas there are occasions when he has the potential to be physical..

You have worked either an SEN School/ Mainstream School/ Alternative Provision / PRU or Youth Centre and have had some interaction with children who have been diagnosed with varied SEN; ie SEMH/ ODD/ ADD/ ADHD/ CAMHS/ Challenging Behaviour / Complex Needsetc. You will have 1:1 and small group experience in a child support post. Additionally, you have experience working as either a Child Residential Worker/ SEN TA/ Behaviour Mentor/ Learning Mentor/ LSA/ HLTA/ Teaching Assistant or Youth Worker.
- You have worked in a support role in either a PRU/ Alternative Provision / Secondary School/ Primary School/ SEN School / Residential Setting
- Must have worked as either a Teaching Assistant/ Behaviour LSA/ SEN TA/ Behaviour Mentor/ Youth Worker/ HLTA and or Learning Mentor
- 1:1 and/or small groups experience with children
- Your SEN experience; CAMHS /SEMH/ ADHD/ Behaviour Difficulties/ MLD/ Learning Difficulties / ASD/ ODD/ ADD/ Complex Needs
- Experience de-escalating behaviour (preferably Team Teach and Price Trained
- Commutable distance to the borough of Bromley by car or public transport
