Jacobson Group, a leading supplier of footwear with brands including, Gola, Lotus, Dunlop, Ravel, Lonsdale and Frank Wright, is looking to recruit an experienced Footwear Buyer, with responsibility for range building, to join our friendly team to oversee the Dunlop footwear buying cycle at our Rawtenstall head office site.
Salary Circa £30,000 per annum, negotiable, dependant on skills and experience
Permanent, full time

**Buyer - Branded Footwear**
The Buyer reports to the Managing Director, working together to deliver the best ranges for our customer, at the best price, as well as operating in the wider team structure such as Sourcing, Product Innovation and Merchandising. The role will have a larger degree of buying responsibility. The aim is to deliver a profitable customer centric range and provide day to day support to the wider team.
**What you’ll be responsible for as Buyer**
- Work with the footwear team to developing a customer centric range with the right price architecture and quality standards
- Supplier liaison/relationships and cost price negotiation
- Responsibility for critical path management
- Supporting the delivery of margin targets
- Fashion range planning and building for ranges they are responsible for
- Reviewing weekly sales, with a focus on the best and worst sellers and actions to drive their area
- Monitoring the fashion market and customer activity through competitive shops, sales and trend analysis
- Attend and conduct fit sessions with involvement in product development
- Attend and contribute to buying meeting
- Attends weekly and monthly trade meetings
- Regular website checks for product set up issues and fixing (where necessary)
- Visiting factories internationally, including, but not limited to, China and other far east countries
**What you will need to succeed as Buyer**
- Relevant degree in fashion or buying or the ability to demonstrate the required level of skills through work-experience
- Excellent administrative, communication and organisation skills
- A keen interest in fashion and footwear and customer first mindset
- Driven & motivated
- Having previous experience of buying a range or categories
- Willing and able to travel internationally
