Yard Worker

Due to continued expansion at Jack Tighe Ltd, we are seeking an experienced Yard Person / Fabrication Labourer to join our team in our busy engineering/workshop department.

**The role**:
To assist our engineering fabrication department with the control of other components used in our working practises for onward moving to construction sites.

Unloading of deliveries on site & storing in the designated areas, including grouping & labelling for traceability.

stock management as required.

Cutting of blast/air
- line sections, labelling & palletising in advance of issuing to the forward movement team.

Preparation of components in advance of assembly.

To carry out general workshop duties including assisting our workshop team.

General yard/site duties which may including cleaning as required.

Working on live sites, away from your normal place of work as required.

To work within our ISO 9001:2015 quality procedures also in line with ISO 14001 environmental and ISO 45001 health and safety standards

**Requirements**:
Driving Licence

Experience of working in a similar role.

Previous use of working machinery, would be beneficial, but not essential as training will be given.

Numerically literate & accuracy with measuring.

Forklift licence or at least previous forklift experience as training will be given.

Good communication skills including the ability to read written instructions.

Ability to work alone or within a team environment.

Reliable.

Conscientious.

We can offer:
Wage per hour £ 12.00 to £14.00

40 hours working week: Monday to Friday with a half hour unpaid lunch break each day.

22 days’ paid holiday per year plus bank holidays.

Based in Foxhills Industrial Estate, Scunthorpe we are easily accessible from all the surrounding towns and cities: Hull, Grimsby, Doncaster, Lincoln.
