This newly created role will help contribute to our compelling designs for print and digital products for the Education International Publishing department within Cambridge University Press and Assessment. As a Junior Designer, you will collaborate closely with the team producing work of the highest quality. In this role, creativity and meticulous attention to detail will be crucial and the applicant should possess a genuine passion for design, especially print design and typography, and have a strong desire to expand their knowledge and skills. A willingness to learn and understand the different design requirements for print products, digital products, and combined print and digital products is essential for this role.

**About the role**
- Deliver high-quality educational products that meet the requirements of a diverse, cost-sensitive global market.
- Develop a unified design approach across all print and digital products, creating design solutions that have a high visual impact
- Produces and develops engaging design solutions, understanding project requirements and concepts and aids in all aspects of the design process from concept to completion.
- Uses feedback from team members to hone skills and improve design.
- Collaborates well.
- Provides design feedback on proofs.
- Ensure quality of design, picture research, and illustration meet or exceed industry and competitor standards.
- Helps with process improvement initiatives and keeps abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.
**About you**
This role would suit a graduate or someone with up to 2 years' experience in a design role. A good working knowledge of all standard design software and graphics editing tools is essential, along with a good understanding of all visual elements that combine towards making outstanding print products. Excellent teamwork, a keen eye for detail, good time management and communication skills, fantastic creativity and a flexible, pro-active attitude are essentials for this role. You must hold a recognised design qualification and experience in education publishing would be an advantage.
