**About the role**

You will be responsibility for key supplier accounts, reconcile and action supplier statement and GRNI reconciliations, and lead the AP Assistants.

In addition, you will act as deputy for the Accounts Payable Manager as and when required.

**Key responsibilities of this role**
- You will work with the AP Manager, in ensuring all work required is completed accurately and on time.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements taking appropriate action to ensure the ledger represents a true and fair position in relation to each company.
- Reconciliation of GNRI balances for the ledger ensuring balances are accurate and challenging aged amounts.
- Supervision of the AP Assistants for the ledger supporting with queries and work allocation.
- Ownership of “key” accounts to ensure all amounts are paid on time.
- Drafting of weekly payment runs ensuring that invoices are paid to terms.
- Support the delivery of training to new recruits to the department.
- Any other task as may be deemed necessary from time to time by management.

**Limits of authority in the job**:
The position carries out the above duties in line with frameworks and processes agreed by the Accounts Payable Manager and other leaders in finance.There is autonomy within these frameworks and processed.Any changes in working practices or unusual eventsshould be referred upwards.Events where procedure has not been followed should be escalated.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- You will have achieved a minimum GCSE / O-Level in English and Math’s
- You will bring to this role previous experience of working in Finance Administration and demonstrable experience of managing all aspects of accounts payable / purchasing ledger tasks
- Good practical knowledge of working with Finance systems, as well as SAP and Microsoft Packages
- You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience of Team Leading would be advantageous
- Ability to train new colleagues to the team and share best practices.

The salary for this role is competitive and dependent on experience. We also offer a 5% annual bonus incentive and a good company pension scheme, 2x basic salary life assurance, enhanced pension contributions plus 25 days holiday in addition to bank holidays(with the option to purchase additional holidays). Working hours are Monday - Thursday 8.30 - 5.00, Fridays 8.30 - 4.00.
