**Production Operator**

**Shift Pattern - Day Shift: MON-THUR - 16:30pm - 02:30pm**

**38hrs per week**

Production operators are required to manually load mixing machinery with raw material ingredients and are responsible for the finished batch production of goods. These goods are icings for cakes, fillings for cakes, and any other wet food mixing process.

Operators are required to run quality control procedures for finished goods and will need to report to a line manager should they identify any issues with product that has been produced.

Operators will receive training in food hygiene and good manufacturing practice processes.

You will be required to work as part of a team and must be able to read and write in English and have an understanding of weights and measures.

Production changes from day to day with a variety of different products being made, on the job you will learn about a variety of products and processes which will make you a valuable asset to this family run business.

**Responsibilities**
- To expedite the manufacturing/processing/packaging of all customer’ orders as specified by the Factory Manager.
- To organise your designated work area in the most cost and time effective manner to meet production output as specified in the works order/production plan.
- To ensure that best health & safety practises are adhered to.
- To ensure that your work area is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and all equipment is maintained in good working order.
- The jobholder shall conduct themselves at all times in a professional manner, and shall ensure that all personnel responsible to the above shall conduct themselves in accordance to the Ingram Brothers Code of Conduct Policy.
- To adhere to all H.A.C.C.P.’s.

**Main Job Activities**
- To follow production recipes in conjunction with the production plan.
- To be aware of hazard analysis critical control points within your working environment
- To report immediately any non-conformance of raw material/finished goods/ process practise to R&D Department or to the factory manager.
- To ensure that procedures related to your working environment as specified within the Ingram Bros B.R.C. manual are adhered to.

**Experience**
- Previous factory experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts is a plus; certification may be required.
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred.
- Experience working within a manufacturing facility is highly desirable.
