_**HGV Mechanic - Cambridgeshire - Permanent, full-time - £40k circa + benefits + paid overtime**_

This is an opportunity for a HGV Mechanic to join a succesful and expanding family business, operating and coversing the Cambridgeshire area. Offering a reliable and strong customer base, they have a dedicated team who are hard working and committed to deliveringan outstanding service to their clients and customers.

**SALARY ETC**:

- £40k circa + overtime paid for any additional hours at time and a half
- Permanent, full-time
- Cambridgeshire
- Start: ASAP
- Monday to Friday on a day shift (8.00am till 6pm) and a late shift (5pm till 2.00am), which will include the occasional Saturday.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- A qualification in heavy vehicle engineering (City and Guilds or NVQ) or comparable trade papers from the Armed Forces, or a recognised indentured apprenticeship is essential.
- The HGV Fitter could come from the commercial engineering sector with experience on heavy vehicles, plant machinery or military equipment. Further to this, Ex Forces vehicle mechanics or Technicians are welcome to apply.
- Excellent diagnostic skills and will be quality motivated
- Experience of inspecting, servicing and repairing vehicles in addition to preventative maintenance.
- Demonstrate the ability to work to high standards set by the company to ensure vehicle road worthiness.
- A strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering which includes, strong fault-finding experience coupled with an ability to diagnose faults using schematics and diagrams.

**JOB ROLE**:

- The role of the HGV Fitter will involve maintenance, servicing and MOT's of LGVs and the successful HGV Fitter must demonstrate the ability to work to the high standards.
- You will have a proven track record of inspecting, servicing and repairing heavy equipment in addition to preventative maintenance & MOT's of HGV commercial vehicles.
