**What your day would look like as a Care Specialist?**

As a Care Specialist, your day will be varied, each day being rewarding and different. You will manage all aspects of the operational team and use your knowledge about domiciliary care environment, including the effective use of Microsoft Office, online management and rostering systems, and the most effective communication tools. You will be providing strong leadership and communication to support the growth of the business.

You will be effectively managing your workload in the day-to-day running of the business, conducting care visits where required, coordinating and monitoring performance. Your drive of compliance and implementation of the company policies and procedures will ensure a safe and effective workplace. Additionally, you will adhere to but not limit to Care Act 2014, the CQC fundamental standards and other relevant principles, standards and guidance.

You will provide regular supervision/feedback to the team and resolve any issues in a timely manner. When required escalate to the Registered Manager. In addition to this, you will mentor staff working towards their NVQ and ongoing training.

Your excellent customer skills will help build and maintain a positive rapport with new and existing clients, their families, and other health care professionals to ensure best practices are followed. You will also be expected to stand in for the Registered Manager when required. Additionally, you will be part of the on-call rota.

**What is necessary for this role**:

- Full UK driving licence for a manual vehicle (having your own car is preferred)
- The right to work in the UK
- Fluent English
- NVQ 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
- 1-year experience in a management/supervisory role in a domiciliary care settings
