This is a **full-time Student Services Support role** (40 hours per week), and you will be based at either or both of the following campuses:
**Eastgate House Campus -**40 Dukes Place, London, EC3A 7LP.

**Wentworth House Campus** - 350 Eastern Avenue, Gants Hill, London IG2 6NW.

And any additional campuses in London.

**Salary**

£24,000-£26,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.

**About Student Services**

The Student Services Support position sits within our Student Services encompasses three departments which are at the heart of our Learner Journey and experience. They are the teams that support our students throughout their time at UKCBC and are all very hardworking and focused team. They are all friendly and very supporting teams who help keep UKCBC running smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

**Job Purpose**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- To cover Reception, providing hospitality to visitors professionally, attending phone calls, taking messages and transferring and referring specific enquiries to other departments.
- Typing/word processing of letters, minutes taking for meetings, reports, weekly bulletin and other documents, as required by the line manager.
- Assist the Campus Manager with the overall enrolment procedure to ensure that proper correspondence and documentation is received and acknowledged, filed, recorded on the relevant system and that departments are notified as appropriate.
- Facilitate and conduct Student inductions after each intake.
- Be aware of all the necessary procedures and departments to assist students with their queries relating to their courses, timetables, class changes, awarding body requirements, etc.
- Responsibility for the daily management and delivery of all aspects of student attendance as part of the UKCBC Attendance Policy. To be a point of contact for reporting of all student absence.
- To record, monitor and track student attendance, then contacting students regarding this if required and Authorising student absences on the system and approve mitigating circumstances.
- Addressing any student grievances and escalate where necessary.
- To organise and participate in the election of student representatives’ and arrange termly students committee meetings.
- Assisting with departmental Audits.
- Record all decisions on the UKCBC’s electronic system (SITS, Ulearn, moodle) in line with agreed procedures and service levels.
- Deal with student credentials including, Moodle, IT logins and ID cards.
- Promote, encourage and collect student feedback, National student survey and any additional surveys conducted.
- Assist in the coordination of Enrichment week, student events whilst embracing the colleges responsibility to Equality, Diversity and inclusion as well as safeguarding and prevent duties.
- To maintain total confidentiality about applicants/students and other personal information in compliance with College policies and GDPR.
- Provide support across Admissions, Administration and Academics.
- Provide administrative support to admissions in setting up interviews, tests and invigilate where appropriate.
- To ensure all students are equipped with the correct information relevant to their chosen course i.e. timetables, class changes, awarding body requirements etc.
- Contribute to the monitoring of agreed service levels, including turnaround times, chasing outstanding decisions as required.
- Learn about the various specialist support services that exist on the campus/remotely and to advise students accordingly.
- Work with Tutors, Module Coordinators, Course Coordinators, Course Directors and Safeguarding to ensure welfare of students.
- To support and monitor student coursework submissions on their relevant learning portals.
- Liaising between academic team members and students to follow up with assignments.

- Adhere to all established systems within the department and implement any changes only as requested/authorised by management.
