Accounts Assistant Part-time, Hybrid

To assist in the processing of expenses and invoices, ensuring correct and timely submission. Manage mobile phone bundles and assisting with other duties within the accounts department as may be required.
22.5 hours per week.
Ideally over 3 days, but happy to consider the same hours over 4-5 days if preferred. Very flexible
HYBRID - 2 days office based, 1 day home working (or a similar set up)

**Description**
The Accounts Assistant (Part-time, HYBRID) role involves:
EXPENSES CONTROL
- Process & pay staff expense claims, via Concur on-line
- Register & manage airline loyalty schemes e.g. BA 'On Business'
- Ensure that expense claims are properly coded to the appropriate expense account & department and that VAT is reclaimed where applicable.
- Administer the issuing of company credit cards, credit limits and submission of expense returns.
- Bring to the attention of the Financial Director any mis-use of company credit cards.
- Process 'Private Mileage' returns from staff with company cars.
OVERSEAS VAT CLAIM
- Monitor expense returns and invoices for reclaimable items
- Submit and monitor claims for repayment of VAT in the EU, via HMRC website or third-party providers.
BANK & CASH
- Provide cover for the team during holidays/sickness:
- Post up transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts on AXIS
- Reconcile petty cash tin monthly & post up journal of transactions (plus BPS)
- Reconcile foreign currency cash balances.
OTHER
- Distribute invoices for authorization sent to Purchase ledger inbox
- Process ad hoc payments to suppliers
- Ensure all filing is kept up to date
- Provide Purchase Ledger cover for holidays
- Provide limited cover for 'Purchasing' during holidays
- Undertake other reasonable accounts duties requested by the Financial Director.
MOBILE PHONES AND CAR INVOICES
- Monitor invoices and charges.
- Prepare car leasing schedule for year end
**Profile**
- Have previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper type role
- Purchase Ledger & Bank reconciliation experience.
- Understanding of VAT rules
- have experience of multi-currency transactions (not essential)
**Job Offer**
The Accounts Assistant (Part-time, HYBRID) role offers a market rate salary of £25,000 per annum (which equates to £15,000 per annum for 22.5 hours per week).
AAT study support is also available for those currently studying / looking to study.
