We are seeking a Bar Staff who will take full responsibility for the financial success and smooth operation of the bar or pub they oversee. This role encompasses a variety of duties, including administrative, leadership, and practical responsibilities. You will ensure the bar runs efficiently while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
We take pride in hosting large music events and maintaining a fast-paced, dynamic bar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruiting, training, and motivating staff while monitoring performance and ensuring rules and procedures are upheld.
- Conducting regular stock-takes, placing orders as needed, and monitoring inventory to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Overseeing staff cleanliness and maintaining the physical bar area, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards and compliance with regulations.
- Managing deliveries, beer lines, and the cellar's condition.
- Staying current with licensing legislation and liaising with authorities.
- Adhering to budgets, maximizing profits, and managing cash flow.
- Working with door/security staff and managing challenging customer situations.
- Minimizing, monitoring, and addressing cash and stock discrepancies.
Main Tasks:
- Create a warm, welcoming environment for guests.
- Meet, greet, and serve customers in a friendly, professional, and prompt manner.
- Change kegs, receive deliveries, and restock the bar.
- Serve behind the bar, set up and clear tables, and maintain cleanliness.
- Assist in preparing for and managing large music events.
- Collaborate with other venue management on day-to-day operations.
- Report damages and equipment issues.
Criteria:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.
- 2+ years of experience in bar/hospitality management (preferred).
- Must hold a **personal license**.
Job Details:
- **Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent (35-40+ hours per week).
- **Pay**: Competitive, based on experience, to be discussed during the interview.
Pay: £12.50-£15.00 per hour
