£18,000 - £21,000 Permanent - £80 - £90 per day Contract

Do you enjoy working within a team and helping young people to achieve?

We are supporting an 'Outstanding' Special Needs School in Croydon to find enthusiastic Special Needs assistants to support pupils with a variety of needs.

We are currently have a range of exciting full-time positions across all Key Stages and include 1:1 support and whole class support roles.

**Your main duties will include**:
inspiring and engaging with young adults with a range of additional learning needs
working on a 1:1 to or group basis to support learning
preparing materials, equipment and lessons
assisting with the personal care needs of pupils; this may include feeding, changing and manual handling
liaising with parents, carers and professionals such as teachers, education welfare officers, social workers and Healthcare professionals

**The following skills and qualifications are desired**:
Experience within Autism (ASD) and/or Social, Emotional Mental Health (SEMH)
PECs and Makaton experience
Trained in TEACCH, Team Teach/MAPA
Strong communication skills with pupils and staff
First Aid trained
Ability to use own initiative where necessary
