**Our client is a family run design and manufacturing business. We are looking for a Compliance Engineer on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join a growing and well-respected engineering business.**
**Compliance Engineer**:

- Responsible (alongside Senior Management) for the overall compliance of the Company’s products.
- Research and identify applicable regulatory and industry compliance standards and codes.
- Maintain and catalogue evidence of compliance, including technical files, risk assessments and Declarations of Conformity/Incorporation to CE, UKCA and UL/CSA requirements.
- Ensure agreed procedures and policies are being implemented and followed accordingly.
- Assess compliance with identified standards (including BS, EN, ISO and UL/CSA) through analysis, devising a program of tests where necessary.
- Work with other engineers to ensure compliance is considered for new products.
- Advise sales and customers’ directly on specific non-standard requirements of a quote or order.

**Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications required**:

- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations and certifications, especially EMC, LVD and machinery directives, CE, UKCA, UL.
- Methodical, diligent, result orientated, able to plan with an analytical but practical approach to compliance.

**Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications required**:

- Degree qualified (e.g. Engineering, Compliance related).
- Proven experience in a similar role withing an Engineering/Production environment
